Abstract
Nikel(0) cyclopropene complexes are usually only detected as reactive intermediates during the oxidative cyclization of cyclopropenes at the Ni(0) site. In contrast, it was possible to isolate and structurally characterize such a Ni(0) cyclopropene complex: from the reaction of [(bipy)Ni(COD)] with dimethyl 3-methyl-3-tert-butyl-1-cyclopropene-1,2-dicarboxylate.
