Abstract
By the use of nonisothermal galvanic cells, the (reduced) heat of transport of silver metal in beta-Ag2+deltaS as a function of both temperature and composition has been determined. We compare results from two independent experiments and comment on the interpretation of the heat of transport. An interesting aspect of thermal diffusion in beta-Ag2+deltaS is the occurrence of a sign reversal of the heat of transport with increasing temperature.
